This physical verification ensures compliance when mobile scanning is not technically possible. The physical scan serves as the alternative route to verify identity and citizenship.

The same physical scanning requirement applies if the electronic chip on the document cannot be scanned. Workers must locate an authorized station to complete their registration in person. This step is mandatory to secure the ID06 card when digital verification fails.

F-tax and registration requirements for foreign firms

Foreign employers must complete specific tax registrations before they can access the Swedish construction sector. To register your company with the ID06 system, your firm must first obtain Swedish F-tax status from the Swedish Tax Agency. You cannot order passage cards for your posted workers without this approved status.

The registration process requires planning and documentation. Your company must submit the necessary tax applications to the Swedish authorities to prove compliance. Once the Swedish Tax Agency grants the F-tax status, you can proceed to register your business in the ID06 database.

A1 certificate and EU residence permit mandates

Foreign companies posting workers to Sweden must meet strict documentation requirements during the ID06 card ordering process. Foreign nationals employed by foreign firms must provide a valid A1 certificate or official confirmation of the A1 application. If you submit the confirmation of the application initially, you must upload the final A1 certificate within 3 months of ordering the card.
